Top 5 eSIMs in Morocco for travelers: how much do they really cost?
Seven days of unlimited data in Morocco costs from €24 (eSIM Maroc) to €32.50 (Airalo) with the eSIMs in our top 5, based on prices we checked on each provider’s website on 13 October 2026. For a solo traveller with a compatible phone, we recommend eSIM Maroc: €24 a week, the cheapest 7-day unlimited plan sold in euros, with 1 GB a day at full speed then 512 kbps. For two or more people, a Rent A Phone pocket Wi-Fi costs less: €34.30 for 7 days and up to 10 devices, laptop included, against €48 for two eSIM Maroc plans, with free delivery in Marrakech. We compared seven plans on real-world unlimited data, network and hotspot use.

We took the five most-cited eSIMs for Morocco and ranked them on a single criterion: the price of the 7-day unlimited plan. Activation, refunds, phone number: the small print
- Start date: with all seven providers, the plan starts when you first connect in Morocco, not at purchase. Time allowed to activate: 60 days at Nomad, 3 months at Jetpac, 6 months at Ubigi and Yesim (180 days), 365 days at Airalo.
- Daily or per-trip cap: Ubigi counts its 25 GB over the whole week; eSIM Maroc, Nomad, Jetpac and Airalo reset the counter every day; Holafly and Yesim publish no threshold.
- Refunds: Holafly accepts requests for 6 months, in full if the phone is incompatible; eSIM Maroc refunds within 30 days if the plan has not started, but not for an incompatible or locked phone; we did not find detailed terms for Airalo, Nomad, Jetpac, Ubigi and Yesim on their Morocco pages.
- Phone number: data only across the board; keep your usual SIM for bank texts.

Light user (maps, WhatsApp, email)? A fixed-data plan costs less: 1 GB for €3 over 30 days at Yesim, €6 over 3 days at Airalo, €6.25 over 7 days at Nomad. Over a month, 10 GB costs €18 at Yesim, €18.74 at Nomad and about €20.59 at Ubigi.
What "unlimited" means with each provider
No plan is unlimited at full speed. Here is what each provider writes itself:

At 1 Mbps, WhatsApp, maps and email work; video and video calls struggle, and at 512 kbps even heavy pages crawl.
Which Moroccan network, and what about 5G?
Airalo, Nomad and Jetpac run on Orange; Ubigi on Maroc Telecom and Orange; Holafly and Yesim on all three (Yesim switches automatically). According to Opensignal (April 2026 report, data from January to March 2026), typical download speed is 27.5 Mbps on Maroc Telecom, 23.7 Mbps on Orange and 22.8 Mbps on inwi.
5G covered 44% of the population at the end of March 2026 (ANRT figures reported by FNH, July 2026), but only Holafly offers it “if available”; Airalo and Nomad state 4G/LTE, Yesim 3G and LTE, Ubigi “No 5G”. It is not a deciding factor.
Watch out
Before paying, check that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to your carrier. According to Apple: iPhone XS, XR and later, except most models sold in mainland China. Ubigi and Yesim are less often cited for Morocco than the five in the ranking; here are their prices, checked on the same criteria. Ubigi bills in dollars: about €22.38 for 7 days unlimited (25 GB at full speed over the week, then 2 Mbps), about €40.29 for 15 days and about €61.77 for 30 days, the amount charged depending on your bank’s rate and fees. Yesim bills in euros: €31.50 for 7 days unlimited, with no published throttling threshold.
What about Moroccan operators' eSIMs?
All three Moroccan operators sell visitor eSIMs with a real Moroccan number, which no international eSIM gives you. For unlimited data, Orange “Marhaba” costs about €11 for 7 days, €20.50 for 14 days and €29.50 for 30 days (orange.ma, 13 October 2026); inwi charges about €11, €20.50 and €48 for the same lengths, with calls. Maroc Telecom’s “eSIM Visiteurs” was about €11 for 20 GB over 30 days, €18.50 for 45 GB and €29.50 for 14 days unlimited, according to the operator’s page as seen in August 2026. What to choose for your trip
- Solo, with an eSIM-compatible phone: eSIM Maroc, €24 for 7 days (€14 for 3 days, €45 for 15 days, €79 for 30 days), 1 GB a day at full speed then 512 kbps, enough for maps, WhatsApp and email.
- Two or more people, or several devices: a Rent A Phone pocket Wi-Fi, €4.90 a day (€34.30 for 7 days) for up to 10 devices, unlimited data, delivered and collected free in Marrakech.
- A laptop or tablet to connect: the Rent A Phone pocket Wi-Fi, which connects them over Wi-Fi, no eSIM chip needed.
- Lots of video: if your trip goes through Marrakech, the Rent A Phone pocket Wi-Fi and its unlimited data. Otherwise, compare each plan’s full-speed allowance in the table above: eSIM Maroc gives 1 GB a day.
- A trip that does not go through Marrakech: the router is not delivered there; eSIM Maroc is bought online before you leave and starts when you first connect in Morocco.
- A Moroccan number: only Maroc Telecom, Orange or inwi eSIMs and SIMs give you one.
Travelling as a group: eSIM or pocket Wi-Fi?
An eSIM is paid per phone and cannot go on a laptop without an eSIM chip. Over 7 days, two eSIM Maroc unlimited plans cost €48 and four cost €96 (prices on 13 October 2026). A pocket Wi-Fi rented from Rent A Phone costs €4.90 a day, so €34.30 for 7 days, with unlimited data shared by up to 10 devices.
The router is a TP-Link 4G (LTE Cat 4) on the Maroc Telecom network, which says it covers 99% of the population with 4G (2025 annual report): up to 150 Mbps in theory, a few tens of Mbps in practice depending on location, no 5G, up to 8 hours of battery. €50 deposit: a card hold that is not charged. Delivery and collection are free in Marrakech only (hotel, riad, Airbnb or wherever you’re staying); it then works wherever Maroc Telecom 4G reaches. Book online on the booking page.
